Job Summary:
This position is customer oriented and requires professionalism, responsibility, and dependability. The dispatcher will be based at our Athens location. Overtime may be required during the prime operating months. It requires the employee to perform a variety of support functions for liquid Asphalt, Emulsion, Calcium.
Essential Functions:
1. Focused. Coordinate and schedule the transportation of liquid asphalt between plants, as well as manage truck scheduling for blacktop and aggregate deliveries to ensure efficient and timely operations.
2. Set-up calcium deliveries for Tank fill and Dust Control.
3. Respect and engage . Work with superintendents on Emulsion tank drops for chip sealing.
4. Compulsive Tinkering . Records and maintains files and records of daily work schedule and dispatch information.
5. Mastery . Audit and maintain carrier records in compliance with company agreement & insurance standards.
6. Handle order entries, update dispatch systems and maintaining schedule of equipment/trucking deliveries.
7. Communicate . Collaborates with sales, quality control and operations personnel regarding general business conditions and specific customer orders.
Requirements, Education and Experience:
1. High school degree or equivalent
2. Some vocational training or job-related course work, preferred
3. 3-5 years' experience in communications or dispatch, preferred.
4. 1-2 years in the road construction industry, preferred
5. Proficient verbal and written English
6. Must have valid driver's license
7. Legal right to work in the U.S.

Travel:
Position may require up to 15% travel by personal vehicle to offices throughout the state of New York, and New England based on the needs of the business.
Work Environment/Physical Demands:
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers. This is mostly sedentary, outside of travel, in an office space. The abilities to sit at a desk, frequent walking, bending, or standing, as necessary, are required.
